Actress Gina Carano is no longer part of The Mandalorian project. Her face is no longer seen in the Star Wars galaxy due to her controversial posts on social media.
"Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no new plans for her in the future," a Lucasfilm spokeswoman said in an official statement. "However, her posts on social media that denigrate people who live within their cultural and religious identities are disgusting and unacceptable," they said, the Hollywood Reporter reported.
Not only Lucasfilm, Carano is no longer a client of the UTA agency. The decision was made after #FireGinaCarano became a trend on social media, removing uploads on Instagram.
But social media users have shared screenshots calling for her removal from Star Wars. On Tuesday night (2/10) local time, Gina Carano published her views on the current political climate that is divided with Nazi Germany.
